trickster

Mahesh and Sudip were as close as body and soul are, even though Mahesh was ten years older than Sudip, and they were as opposite as day and light on the other aspects. Mahesh was ordinary looking, gentle, reserved and studious guy, Sudip was very handsome, childish and fun loving. They both knew that Mahesh was Mr. and Mrs. Das’s adopted son but that made no change.

When Mahesh lacked to display any interest in marriage even after crossing the prime age his parents thought to take the charge. They zeroed on a girl, they liked her very much, she was soft speaking, innocent and well mannered, even though not much to look at but her behaviour was too good.

Mahesh saw the girl but did not showed least interest, he maintained his silence, then his parents requested Sudip to intervene, he became friendly with the girl and started to include her in all their activities, they soon became inseparable. Mr. and Mrs. Das thought it fair to not to disclose the fact to the girl that she was being judged as a probable daughter in law. So they let them mix with each other to their heart’s content and watched from distance.

A few months later Mr. and Mrs. Das asked Mahesh if he liked Tanu, he said after a little hesitation that she is too immatured for his taste, he would prefer to have some one more matured as his life partner. Every one else liked Tanu very much so they asked Mahesh to take a little more time, hence a few more months passed, but he did not changed his mind.

Mr. and Mrs. Das had another shock in store, a few months later Sudip almost killed them by shock by announcing that he was in love with Tanu and wanted to marry her. They reminded him that she was seven years older than him but he just kept arguing, after a long period of argument he stopped arguing, but did not changed his mind. He made it clear by his action that he will marry her, with or without their consent and if they don’t accept Tanu as their daughter in law he will never marry, Mr. and Mrs. Das knew very well how obstinate their younger son was, hence they requested Mahesh to change his mind and marry Tanu.

Mahesh was pushed in a corner, he had no intentions of marrying Tanu, because he always wanted to marry some one who is beautiful and smart, that was his only whim in case of life partner, and Tanu was just opposite. Talkative, innocent and ordinary looking.

He asked his friend Sonika to help, Sonika plotted a plan, she said that she will make Tanu back off from the relationship. She asked Mahesh to sit down beside her and created an email id, and asked Mahesh Tanu’s email address, then she sent her a mail pretending to be Mahesh.

They started to interact with Tanu faking as Mahesh, Sonika used to deliberately hurt and insult Tanu. Her sole intention was to create an allergy in her heart for Mahesh. Tanu tried to stick with him for a long period, but finally failed, whenever she used to clarify the matter with Mahesh face to face he used to bluntly blame her for cooking up things in her own mind, he always made it clear that he liked her a lot, its she who is suspicious.

Sudip also had a blind faith on Mahesh, he started to finally believe that Tanu is acting like a jilted lover, but whenever Tanu used to try to break free Sonika used to sweet talk her again into the friendship, they played this game till Sudip left the town convinced that Tanu is his would be sister in law, and not exactly the innocent girl she appears.

After that they wrapped up the game, and picked up a fight with her and told her bye rudely. Tanu became so disgusted with the affair that she backed off from the entire family without offering any explanation.
